Type of Formula

Explanation

Choornam

This is mix of herbs or an herb by itself in a fine powdered form. Useful for all types of disorders and used internally and externally.

Kashayam

Strong Herbal Decoction for both external application and internal use. Useful in the management of many disorders.

Thailam

Oily preparation for external use. Thailam is used for massaging and for other external treatments such as Kaya, Pirichil and fomentations.

Aasavam

Mild alcoholic herbal extract without cooking used internally to address mostly women's health.

Aristham

Mild alcoholic herbal extract used for addressing preventive aspects of medicine. Used extensively in post-partum conditions and female health.

Herbal Cream

Prepared with herbal juices and medicated oil. This ancient method of cream making can be used to produce high quality external and internal remedies and for creating beauty products. 

Lehyam

Herbal paste with a sugar, honey, jaggery base or palm sugar base.
